Update: Bio-based chemicals as a sustainable and environmentally friendly alternative

Traditem GmbH has newly included bio-based chemicals in its program. These represent a more environmentally friendly alternative to the analogous conventional chemicals.

Since bio-based chemicals are obtained from renewable raw materials, they help to reduce the CO2 footprint.

We have added further bio-based acrylate monomers and acrylate oligomers to our sustainable range.

We are pleased to announce that our company has received the Bronze Medal from EcoVadis. This award recognises our commitment to sustainability and social responsibility and demonstrates our dedication to making our business processes environmentally and socially responsible.

EcoVadis is a globally recognised rating system for corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainability. It rates companies in several areas, including environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. Only companies that score highly in all areas receive a medal.

We would like to thank all employees who contributed to qualifying for the Bronze Medal.

There are currently massive supply problems with the Iron(III) chloride solution 40%. There are two reasons for this. On the one hand, there is no pickle available at the moment because the steel industry has lower capacities. On the other hand, there are currently massive production problems with Hydrochloric acid. To produce Iron(III) chloride, a compound of Hydrochloric acid and steel scrap is needed as a “basic material”. We are currently having major problems with both products.

But there is also good news.

As an alternative, we have already been able to switch many customers to the product Aluminium sulphate solution with approx. 8.2% Al2O3.

Please feel free to contact us about this.

By continuously expanding our range with foresight and a feel for trends, we offer our customers a variety of products from a single source.

Organic is trendy. According to the database of the London-based market research company, one in five of the newly approved foods and beverages in Germany has been awarded “organic”.

The environment and our own health have also increased the demand for organic goods across Europe.

It is therefore all the more gratifying to be able to offer our customers a variety of organic raw materials. Because we are looking forward to organic certification and the vlog (without genetic engineering) to obtain.

Thus it is already clear for Traditem GmbH that with a series of certifications we will continue to increase our level in raw materials trading.

With this new turnaround, however, our storage capacities are visibly reaching their limits, so expanding our storage space in Germany and the Netherlands is also unavoidable.
